About me
I love to build and to find out how things work. As a child playing with Lego, to a young adult restoring a car, tinkering with technology has always been a part of my personality.
I am a technically minded individual with a wealth of experience across engineering and sales. Originally graduating in Automotive Engineering, I pursued a more commercially related path which helped me develop my professional communication and administrative skills.
I am now looking to do the next step in my career by working as a Software Developer. I hold a master’s in computer science and have gained professional experience by working within a university software development company. I wish to utilise my experience in sales and engineering to provide a holistic, well-rounded service and valuable insights.

Intern Software Engineer
Oct 2022 - March 2023
Worked on an online databank website using Docker, Apache Tomcat, and the Java based digital repository software DSpace. I worked on solving bugs and adding features. I also gained valuable experience with using Git and DevOps using GitLab.
Java bootcamp Teaching Assistant

Following completion of the master's taught stage, I supported the teaching of Java at beginners level for the following year's cohort.
Technical Sales Coordinator

As part of this role I supported the sales team in the management of rail wagon leases. I dealt with updating and checking lease contracts, handled the pricing and charges for customer contracts, and organised the sales and marketing meetings.

This role involved supporting the Sales team by generating quotes, organising and running meetings and organising training sessions. Being the regional superuser for Salesforce, I was the first point of contact for customers.

Company Directory
The Company Directory project demonstrates asynchronous interaction with a database. The program stores details of employees, their departments and locations, of which each detail can be searched, edited and deleted. The logic involves a combination of PHP, Javascript and SQL.
